One of the original founders of Simmlands, Jim currently serves as a Vice President of the company, specializing in insurance and risk management for the golf industry, where his role includes the development of group benefits and pension programs and claims adjudication for the company’s suite of golf industry related products. 

Jim has 40 years of experience as an independent insurance broker in Canada, more than 30 of which involve specializing in golf industry related insurance.  This experience has led him to becoming an expert in designing, growing, and administrating commercial insurance programs for associations, industry groups and franchises, and in addition, the development of customized and manuscripted policy contracts and automated administration systems.

Jim holds both a CEB (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation, is a licensed Life Agent in the Province of Ontario, and holds a registered insurance broker license in Ontario and other provinces. 

Jim has experience working both at major international insurance brokerages and small, independently owned firms.
