Mike joined Hunter McCorquodale in 1998, and took on the challenge to develop a national distribution network for their unique product portfolio.  He currently works with licensed insurance advisors, group brokers and benefits consultants nationwide, and has helped to establish Hunter McCorquodale as the preeminent supplier of special risk life and disability insurance products in Canada.

For the 15 years prior to joining Hunter McCorquodale, Mike enjoyed a successful sales career, which included time as a life insurance agent for The Mutual Group, as well 5 years as a Disability Insurance Brokerage Manager for Provident Life and Accident.

While at Provident, Mike worked on a case with two of his broker contacts (Ken Hunter & Steve McCorquodale).  Together in May of 1996, they wrote a 500 multi-life GSI program involving Non Cancellable DI contracts.  At that time it was the largest GSI case ever written in Canada.  This relationship led to Mike going to work for Ken & Steve after they formed Hunter McCorquodale in 1997.
